Congratulations Tito Rameriz! A member of the U.S. Marine Corps, Tito has been selected as Glynn County’s Veteran of the Year. In a beautiful seaside ceremony, held at the Casino Pier, Tito and other Veterans were honored by 100’s of local residents and visitors this morning. A parade led by The U.S. Navy Color Guard from Kings Bay Submarine Base began at 10:30 am, and was followed by a ceremony at 11:00 am. The keynote speaker at the ceremony was Capt. William Traub, chief of staff and Commander of Submarine Group Ten. Incidentally, the crowd gave a standing ovation to a Glynn County resident, the grandmother of a Veteran, when it was announced that she is 115-years old! Wow!
