At the recent Golden Isles Association of Realtors (GIAR) 76th Annual Awards Banquet, Hodnett Cooper Real Estate, Inc. Associate Broker Jerry Rhyne was awarded REALTOR of the Year honors for 2013. The REALTOR of the Year is awarded for civic involvement, business accomplishments and involvement in the local, state and national Association of REALTORS.
Jerry has been actively involved in the Golden Isles Association of Realtors board and served as President in 2012. He is also active on the Multiple Listing Service board, serving as President in 2013.
“Jerry works diligently to stay informed of and involved in any activities that affect the real estate industry,” says Leighann Cheatham, Hodnett Cooper Associate Broker and Golden Isles Association of Realtors President. Jerry attends local GIAR functions and town hall meetings. He is active on the Technology, Governmental Affairs and RPAC committees and serves as the instructor on the Navica Multiple Listing systems for GIAR.
At the state level, he attended the Georgia Association of REALTORS (GAR) President’s Inaugural and Legislative Day Convention and in the fall of 2013, he attended the GAR conference and trade show in San Destin, Florida. Jerry is an active member of the GAR Forms, Audit and Scholarship committees. Nationally, Jerry attended the National Association of REALTORS mid-year convention in Washington, DC in May, 2013.
At the community level and as a Retired US Army Colonel, Jerry is actively involved with the Military Officer Association of America and the Golden Isles Council of the Navy League. He is the long-time Treasurer for both organizations.
