usa_flagMiddletown Insider

On Saturday morning, November 9, residents and visitors are being asked to welcome wounded military personnel and their family members to Military Appreciation Day at the McGladrey Classic Golf Tournament on St. Simons Island. Approximately 50 personnel and family members will be driven across the FJ Torras Causeway to the tournament grounds on St. Simons Island. Organizers hope to line the route with people cheering and waving in recognition.

How you can participate:

Dress in red, white and blue and gather along the FJ Torras Causeway or Kings Way (between the Torras Causeway and Frederica Road) by 9:30am. Bring flags, welcome banners and cheer as the honored military are driven to the Sea Island Golf Club.

Motorcycle riders who wish to join to convoy should meet at 9am at Lanier Plaza (on US 17 near the FJ Torras causeway in mainland Brunswick). The escort will depart for St. Simons Island at 9:30am.
