Rodeo at the Beach

Friday, April 10 – Exchange Club Fairgrounds

101 Emory Dawson Road, Brunswick, Georgia

Gates open at 6pm, rodeo begins at 7:30 pm


Hosted by the Exchange Club of Brunswick, Rodeo at the Beach is a professional, family-friendly rodeo with competition events including barrel racing, steer wrestling, team roping and bull riding. Entertainment includes a bounce house, bungee jump, pony rides and a rodeo clown.



Glynn Art in the Park Spring Festival

Saturday and Sunday, April 11-12

Postell Park on St. Simons Island

10am to 5pm – Free


Over 70 artists and crafters display their talents in beautiful Postell Park including paintings, pottery, woodwork, toys and more! Postell Park is adjacent to the St. Simons Island village, pier, lighthouse and fun zoneTURso the entire family can make a day of shopping and exploring!



A Little Light Music – Oceanfront Concert featuring The Tams

Sunday, May 3 – St. Simons Island Lighthouse Lawn

7pm – $12/person at the gate, children under 12 are free


A favorite of Island guests and residents alike, this annual concert series takes place on the oceanfront lighthouse lawn. The family-friendly event encourages you to bring picnic fare, lawn chairs and cocktails as you enjoy the show. May 3 features the beach music classics of The Tams who have been performing hits like “Be Young, Be Foolish and Be Happy” for fifty years.



77th Annual Blessing of the Fleet

Saturday and Sunday, May 9-10

Sidney Lanier Park in Historic Downtown Brunswick


This two-day celebration blesses shrimp boats and their captains for a safe and prosperous shrimping season. On Saturday and Sunday, the festival features food, music, water sports and fun and games for the kids. On Sunday at 3pm is the blessing ceremony.

Saturday: 10am-6pm

Sunday: 11am-5pm; blessing at 3pm




Turtle Crawl Triathlon, 5K and NestFest

Saturday, May 16

Jekyll Island, Great Dunes Park



This annual event launches the sea turtle nesting season with a heart-racing start! This USAT sanctioned event is widely recognized as one of the most scenic triathlons on the East Coast. Beginning and ending at Great Dunes Park on neighboring Jekyll Island, the Turtle Crawl accommodates every skill level. If you’re not participating as an athlete, come out to cheer or volunteer!


Near the finish line, families are encouraged to participate in the educational NestFfest activities and visit the nearby Georgia Sea Turtle Center.
