Beach Club #311 - St Simons Island

Hodnett Cooper is very easy to work with. Very easy process to get codes to enter into property, but make sure you read the paper given upon arrival in the condo how to enter and exit beach area and use the internet. Beachclub is a beautiful, well maintained property, however, parking spaces are VERY narrow and would be a problem during peak season. The pool area is very nice with plenty of seating and grills are close by if you want to use for lunch or dinner. Easy ramp access to the beach and beach umbrellas were available and there are shower stations to rinse off the sand before returning to the property. Unit 311 is updated and very clean, well stocked and has amazing oceanfront views. Space is a little tight getting around the kitchen and dining areas but ample seating in both the dining and living areas. The bedrooms were very comfortable and we liked that there was a King in the master and Queen in second room. We preferred this oceanfront unit because you get great views from every room, however, the patios are very narrow and only enough room for 3 people on the front patio and maybe 3/4 on side. The units on the first level have bigger side patios. My only suggestion is to change the window treatments. They were broken upon arrival and we had a hard time opening them to see those amazing views. We loved everything about St. Simons from the beautiful live oak moss trees to the quaint shopping areas, massive beaches with fine sand, flat beach and calm waters. We enjoyed walking the sand bar during low tide and surprised how calm the water was even though we were there when hurricane Florence hit the Carolinas. There are many places to eat that range from affordable to pricey. We enjoyed our meals at Iguanas, Crabdaddys and Del Sur. We had a hard time finding the air conditioned Colonial Tour Trolly and ended up with the St. Simons Trolly which was not air conditioned and a little rickety but the woman giving the tour was very knowledgeable and entertaining. If you get a chance take the trolly tour, Lady Jane Shrimp boat, a boat ride through the Okefenokee Swamp and Driftwood beach on Jekyll Island is a must see (you will need bug spray for both) as well as the beautiful mansions where the rich stayed and played. Overall, we loved St Simons and would definitely stay at the Beach Club again.

Considering Matthew had just rolled thru SSI, we thought your complex and staff were extremely sufficient and accommodating! We will be returning!!

Beach Club is a great place to stay. We were right on the ocean and the accomadations were great!

The Beach Club is an attractive well run facility, with friendly staff. It has a lovely courtyard in the center of the buildings and excellent views of the ocean

It's great for a true beach vacation - casual decor and lots of light. Nothing formal or fancy like the Grande and Sea Island
