The pink house was perfect for our group. it was so quiet and the owners had everything we would need. They had beach chairs an a umbrella which really made our stay great! We will stay at the pink house when we come back

The Pink House is a very nice cottage. It is nicely furnished and comfortable. However, the traffic noise is terrible throughout the night, weekends and holidays. I didn't notice it as much during my first stay as I did recently. I did, however, stay longer recently.

The Pink House is the cutest little cottage. It is tastefully decorated and has every convenience you need or want. It is close to restaurants, shops, and the ocean. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

What a wonderful vacation we had at 1 East Beach Causeway! The property is beautiful, clean and spacious. I can't wait to return. The outdoor grounds are lovely and well maintained. A lovely home with a beautiful yard at the beach --- does one need anything else!? We'll be back.

Great location! Our family enjoyed the stay (6 months). We had the view of the pool, marshland, and bridge. It is conveniently located by the causeway. Nice hardwood floors, open space and very comfy. Very nicely furnished! I would do it again!

L Beach

We have spent the last five years in this rental during our summer vacation. We have loved it. The house is VERY clean and extremely spacious, the furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen is HUGE, the pool is a nice size and the backyard is very shady. However, there are a great deal of stairs (house is tri-level with main level on second floor) and the adults in our family are getting older and the stairs are growing harder for us to navigate, so we decided to move to a one-level house for next year. I will be sad to let this house go. We have had many great summers here. Minor points we've had issue with in past years have been corrected: The box springs in the master bedroom no longer squeak. The bed is now very quiet and comfortable. As a bonus, there is a new flat screen TV in the master bedroom, probably around 30 inches. The pool is, as I mentioned, in a shaded area, and is, therefore, prone to have leaves and small sticks in it, especially after rain showers, which are common in the afternoon on the coast. However, they have replaced the pool cleaning robot thingy (my daughter named it 'Carol' when she was five) and the new Carol does an excellent job of keeping the pool bottom clean. We just have to skim the surface lightly with the provided net each morning and we are good to go. Also, this year, Stacy at Hodnett-Cooper went out of her way to make sure the pool would be presentable for our arrival after several local thunderstorms. FYI, the pool people generally come on Thursday, but Hodnett-Cooper will try to get them out ASAP if there is a glaring problem. This is actually true of ANY issue. We have had stellar customer service from HC and we will continue to rent from them as long as we can. Goodbye sweet house! We will miss you.

Still love this house. This is our fourth year and just re-booked for year five. House is VERY clean and spacious which is one of the major reasons we keep coming back. Pool is good size and gets some afternoon sun in places but is mostly shaded. It does have a lot of tree and bamboo overhang, so be prepared to have to skim out some leaves every morning or after a storm. This is not a big deal to us, because we know about it and have bought our own portable skimmer, but if you weren't prepared for it, it might be. The house also provides a pool skimmer, and of course, Hodnett Cooper is always super gracious about sending out a cleaning crew (or any other maintenance team) any time you call, but the regular pool cleaning schedule is Thursday. It is also a good idea to bring some citronella pots to keep around the pool as it can get kind of damp and attractive to insects after the very common, transient coastal rain showers. See my original review re: kitchen, stairs, bathrooms, etc. Washer and dryer are awesome to have b/c of drippy suits, towels, etc. Less than 5 minutes to two public beaches, Massengale Park and the Coast Guard Station in one direction and the Village and pier in the other. If I had one wish, it would be for the owners to replace the box springs on the Master bed with some of a higher, quieter quality. There is nothing wrong with the mattress as it is very nice, but the box springs are ridiculously noisy climbing in and out of bed. They croak like an old frog. I think they bought those box springs off a truck in a dark alley from some guy saying, "Psst! Hey buddy? Wanna buy some box springs?" Otherwise, great location, great house and we'll be back next year!

So appreciative of the customer service help from Hodnett. Our stay was lovely, only interrupted by Hurricane Matthew. It was our first time to this area and would come again. Our accessibility to the shopping area and dock made our stay even more pleasant. Thanks to all who had a part.

We stayed in this cute house for a week with three granddaughters. The house is very cheerful, spacious, cozy and comfortable, and full of light, Perfect for a family with kids. The kitchen is open plan and well equipped for simple meals. We did a lot of cooking so could have done with some heaftier equipment, but we managed. The outdoor shower was a total hit with the girls, the highlight of the house -- helps to keep the sand out of the house too!. It is very well located, minutes from the beach and the village by car. It could be an easy walk to the beach unless you are carrying cooler, chairs, etc. I did not give a 5 star rating because I think the linens need to be replaced. They are old and worn and grey from wear. Otherwise all good

We just spent our 9th year staying at 106 Jordan Lane and are hooked on this lovely home and SSI. The home is very light with two stories of windows in the main living area. We spent many hours on the beautiful wrap around porch and made good use of the new grill. There are lots of things to do and see on the island, but it's nice to return to such a comfortable home after a day at the beach or out exploring. We'll be back next year!!

We have wintered at 106 Jordan Lane for the past several years, and enjoyed every moment of our stays. The house is open and sunlit, with a friendly decor, and overall a wonderfully inviting place. The wrap around porch is a great place to sit and chat or contemplate a day well spent on the island while watching a sunset. The neighborhood is tree-filled and quiet. It is located near the beach and the village, both a moderate walk or an easy bike ride away. Saint Simons Island is a remarkably fun and relaxing place to visit, especially for adults and families who wish to avoid the usual mega-tourist places. It has great restaurants, bars, friendly beaches, opportunities for hiking, biking, golf and other outdoor activities. We have given thought to spending winter elsewhere, but honestly cannot think of a better home and place to be.

We had a lovely time! The rental was charming, comfortable, and very clean. St Simons Island is beautiful and there are many things to do and see. Plus, there are many fine restaurants. I highly recommend it!

This is our 6th year at 106 Jordan Lane. We love the way the home is decorated, and all of the windows make it light and airy. The blue and green colors are perfect! The owners are continually updating and improving. This year there is new living room furniture, fresh paint and a luxurious new comforter in the master bedroom. We so enjoy the wrap around front porch, and it is great to be able to grill. The neighborhood is quiet and close to both the beach and the village. We have lots of special memories from time spent at this home on SSI.

We loved this property. All of the furniture, including the mattresses, was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked as we like to cook. Loved the rocking chair front porch!! We had a great meal and superior service at J Mac's on Mallory St. Our overall experience was wonderful!! Can't wait to come back!

The cottage was a nice place to stay and very clean, which was appreciated. After one night sleeping on the small bed in downstairs bedroom (not a queen, which I thought the description said it was), we had to move to upstairs bedroom with the king bed. Downstairs bed needs to be replaced with either king or queen and new mattress. Double beds are too small for two people! If we had known the king wasn\'t in downstairs, we would not have rented this cottage. The recliners were comfortable, but I have never seen a sofa like the one in the cottage. Not only was it hard as a rock to sit on, it was the most unusually designed sofa I\'ve ever seen....strange looking. As someone else said, there are very large pieces of furniture and lots of knick knacks. Would not be too suitable for children. Location is excellent. Price was reasonable. It\'s quiet and in a nice little neighborhood. Not sure if I would choose it again and that\'s mainly because of downstairs bedroom not having the king bed.

A fantastic inland cute residence that\'s near the village and a short drive to the beach. This location had a great loft and screened outdoor porch - very nice. The open living area with raised ceilings and windows gave great natural lighting. However, the owners coming daily to feed the local cats out back encroaches on privacy of the rental...beyond that, it\'s a good spot nestled within the inland island neighborhood.

This cottage is a lovely place to stay due to its quiet environment coupled with its proximity to the Village and the beach, which were easily accessible by foot, bike, or auto. Both the front and back porch were much appreciated and used for dining al fresco or sitting outside to chat, read, work on a small project, etc. during pleasant and inclement weather. The kitchen is well-stocked, allowing us to do a lot of cooking at home, which we prefer. We found this to be a comfortable place to stay. I would discourage renting this home if you have children; the home is furnished with large furniture so there's not much open space and is filled with lovely but breakable and personal decorative items. Otherwise, I highly recommend this home as a good place to stay if you are visiting the island.

My husband and I stayed here the week before our daughter got married on the island. It is perfect for 2 or 3 people. Immaculately clean. Very quiet, away from traffic. Nice screened-on porch on the back and a porch swing on the front. Close to village restaurants. Reasonable price for the summer time. Loved it.

We loved this little cottage! It was perfect for our little family! It was our boys (2 1/2 & 15 months) first time at the beach and it helped to have a cozy place to stay!

The Gingerbread cabin was perfect for our family of 4. We were able to ride bikes to the beach and village and the location was quiet. The neighbors were very friendly. Would be nice to have a BBQ in the back yard for guest use.

This is the best kept secret on the island! I am not kidding. Spent 2 weeks here during May and have already booked my return for next year. Enjoy the shaded porch, or the sunny beach that is literally steps away. Go to sleep listening to the sound of the waves. Wake up to an ocean view right outside the door. Miles of beach to stroll. Perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. Bigger than a hotel room, less money and right on the beach. The neighbors are locals and can steer you towards the best activities and/or restaurants. It doesn't get any better than this!

Loved it, a little cottage, cuter in person! Right on the beach, couldn't get any better, didn't need anything else. Great quality time, we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and plan a trip back. Why go out of the country when there are hidden gems like this in your own back yard.
