The name Hodnett Cooper Real Estate has long been a mainstay in the Golden Isles real estate market. But in the spring that will change.
The company will join Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, part of the HSF Affiliates LLC family of real estate brokerage franchise networks. In the spring, the company will officially begin operating as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hodnett Cooper Real Estate.
The family-owned brokerage, led by broker/owner Pat Hodnett Cooper, the daughter of its founder, operates three offices with more than 50 agents. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is America’s fastest-growing real estate brokerage network with more than 42,350 agents and 1,270 offices admitted to the brand since its founding in September 2013.
When presented with the opportunity to join the firm, Hodnett Cooper said she jumped at the chance.
“Very few times in your life do opportunities present themselves that are life changing; this is certainly one of those times,” she said.

With their transition, Hodnett Cooper Real Estate agents will gain access to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ Global Network Platform, a powerful tool suite focusing on lead generation, marketing support, social media, video production/distribution and more. The brand also provides national and international marketing support, listing syndication to consumer search sites in 35 countries, professional education and the exclusive Luxury Collection for high-end and resort listings.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices CEO Gino Blefari is also optimistic about the move.

The company’s new Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices yard signs are expected to populate the Golden Isles this spring. Hodnett Cooper Vacation Rentals, Inc., however, will continue operations as the largest vacation rental company on St. Simons Island and will not be part of the franchise affiliation.￼￼￼￼

Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® (LeadingRE) Conference Week attracts a prestigious audience of nearly 2,500 real estate professionals from 25 countries.
The conference was offered exclusively to professionals affiliated with LeadingRE, a global community of real estate companies awarded membership based on rigorous standards for service and performance. Born in Macon, and a seventh-generation Georgian, Anne has been visiting the Golden Isles since she was a young child. She has recently moved to St. Simons from Athens, where her family has a long history with the University of Georgia and especially UGA football. Anne received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and worked as an interior designer for several firms in New England and Georgia. While her three daughters were growing up she and her husband founded one of the earliest internet retail companies, Outpost.com; more recently they opened thirteen PeachMac Apple retail stores across the south.
Anne revels in using her eye for interior design and her fluency in internet marketing to help buyers find the perfect home and sellers show their houses to the greatest effect.
Anne’s passion for Coastal Georgia is renewed every time she takes a long walk on the beach with her husband. She also enjoys listening to live music and dining at the great local restaurants in the Golden Isles. She has joined the Literary Guild of St. Simons and the St. Simons Land Trust, and is always looking to be active in other local organizations.

In the article readers discover that Carly’s passion for giving back started long before she came to Hodnett Cooper Real Estate, For her 40th birthday a few years ago, while living in Los Angeles, she asked family and friends to commit to completing random acts of kindness such handing out coats to the homeless or buying someones meal at a drive through window. We could not be more thrilled she brought her Real Estate talent and giving heart to Hodnett Cooper in 2014 . We look forward to many years of working along side this talented, selfless woman.

With his background in Civil Engineering and her background in Marketing, they focused on high end residential and commercial building. When the real estate market struggled, they geared their company toward their industrial building roots. Going back to residential building, the team changed the company name to REH Building Solutions. Melissa felt this would be a perfect time to transition to her career in real estate. Melissa started with Hodnett Cooper Real Estate as an office administrator while completing real estate courses at night.
Melissa truly enjoys working with people and is eager to build a strong client base through honesty and knowledge. A knowledge that comes from 10 years in the construction industry.
