Fall is officially upon us! Even though here in the Golden Isles we still have at least another full month of summer temperatures. Enjoy the last few weeks of warm weather with one or many of the Weekend Activities on St. Simons Island

If you have young children that are early risers The Georgia Sea Turtle’s Egg-sperience Dawn Patrol program is perfect for you! Starting at promptly 7am now through the end of the month. Enjoy the unique opportunity to assist the biologist of the sea turtle center in monitoring the nests on Jekyll Island. You will spend the morning searching for nests on all-terrain vehicles as well as learning how to protect the nest, checking for signs of predators, and taking inventory of each nest. You won’t want to miss out on this exciting opportunity to get up close and personal with the sea turtle nests!

After fun at the egg-sperience head over to Brunswick this Saturday September 8th from 2-4 PM to enjoy Puppies and Pin-Ups Car Show. This benefit event is in support of Glynn County Animal Control. Take a look at the Classic Cars or browse the adorable puppies that will be up for adoption at the event. Even if you are unable to adopt be sure to drop by and show these animals so well-deserved love and affection!

If you prefer evening fun, check out First Friday in Downtown Brunswick. Kick off the first weekend of the month on Newcastle Street from 5 -8pm. Visit the beautiful downtown district and enjoy all the galleries, shops, and businesses that will be open late serving wine & snacks, with live music in our Signature Squares. This popular weekly festival draws crowds from across the Golden Isles, you will be sure to find some great souvenirs to take home as well as delicious food and beverages!
