Fuel Up and Find Your Bearings

Kick off the day with breakfast at Palmer’s Village Cafe, a cozy local favorite serving delicious meals from morning through the afternoon. Build your own biscuit while the kids dive into the banana pudding pancakes, then get ready for a day of exploration!

The folks at the Golden Isles Welcome Center are happy to help with any questions you might have about the area. Beyond a warm welcome, you’ll also find maps, souvenirs, and a glimpse into St. Simons’ unique Tree Spirits art installation. Have fun finding them!

Head to Postell Park and Hit the Beach

Check out the Crafts in the Village at Postell Park, open on select weekends throughout the summer.  Featuring local art, crafts, and other vendor booths, it’s a beautiful place to shop for unique finds!

While the Golden Isles are known for some of the best beaches in Georgia, East Beach is a popular spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the waves, and summer is the perfect time to experience its beautiful shoreline!

Cool Off with Ice Cream and Shopping

After a fun day at the beach, cool off with a delicious treat at Frosty’s Griddle and Shake, known for their creamy floats and milkshakes. Then, hop in the car and head to downtown Brunswick, where charming shops and local boutiques make for a lovely afternoon of browsing.

Grab Lunch and Hit a Fun Water Park

Before leaving Brunswick, enjoy a delicious lunch at Marshside Grill, known for fresh seafood,  friendly service, and breathtaking views of the Golden Isles. Treat the kids to an exciting afternoon at Summer Waves Water Park on Jekyll Island, filled with thrilling slides, lazy rivers, and splash zones for all ages!

Snap Photos and Dine by the Water

Driftwood Beach is a must-stop for stunning photo opportunities, with its weathered trees and natural landscape, creating a one-of-a-kind backdrop you won’t find anywhere else. Afterward, head to Tortuga Jack’s to catch the sunset and unwind with dinner on the water, an ideal way to recap a full-day summer itinerary of family fun!
