This quirky shake and burger shack has quickly become a culinary staple and homage to all things nostalgic about beach life. Frosty’s offers something for everyone in a complex family structure. From cheeseburgers to chilidogs, crispy onion rings, to a pretty darn good Greek salad. Let the ice cream float- or any other soft serve concoction you can dream up- take you back to a simpler time with a round of pinball; or go for the high score at Pac man, at least until 9pm.

Did you say Bloody Mary Bar? Traditionally reserved for brunches and lunches, this seaside staple is no stranger to most southerners- and Catch 228 encourages you to blend your own! A buffet briming with accoutrements from fresh Georgia white shrimp to bacon, still sizzling and a selection of the finest Bloody Mary mixes out there is only the beginning. Featuring the NFL Sunday Ticket, as well as Monday night football, don’t forget about live music on Wednesday nights. A variety of local musicians grace the patio while you indulge in Saint Simons Island’s best seafood fondue. Enjoy until 10pm or later, depending on the music.

Porch

Nashville Hot Chicken meets the beach, in the heart of the Saint Simons Island Village. Go for the Froze, stay for the mother-clucker, or the tater tots, or the nanner puddin’. Whatever draws you there, you can stick around this sweet beach shack for hours. Enjoy a game of cornhole while you sip your libation of choice; or beat the pants off your kids, or your friends, in a round giant connect four. You’ll have sweet dreams as you tuck into bed early, Porch closes at 9pm.

Tucked into the end cap of a building, it’s where the island old timers and service industry folks go to unwind. Original wood floors, wood burning fireplace, three pool tables and two darts, smoky with a long bar featuring every libation that could turn your frown upside down. Quite charming as far as dive bars go. Once in a while they’ll have live music, but for the most part the bartenders are in charge of the tunes- from Allman Brothers to Skynard, if they’re feelin’ wild maybe Panic or Prince. If you make it til last call at 2am, you’ve had a good night.
